PHU QUOC CONTINUES TO STRENGTHEN ITS POSITION AS A PREMIER DESTINATION ON THE GLOBAL TOURISM MAP

In the first half of 2026, Phu Quoc continued its impressive growth trajectory, reaffirming the enduring appeal of Vietnam’s Pearl Island as one of the country’s most sought-after island destinations. 

According to figures released by local tourism authorities and reported by national media, the island welcomed approximately 5.7–5.8 million visitors during the first six months of the year, representing an increase of more than 30% year-on-year. International arrivals reached around 1.3 million, underscoring Phu Quoc’s growing attraction among both domestic and overseas travelers. 

Beyond the increase in visitor numbers, the island’s tourism revenue during the first half of 2026 was estimated at over VND 31.5 trillion. This remarkable performance reflects not only a strong recovery in tourism volume but also a steady enhancement in the quality and value of the destination’s offerings—from luxury hospitality and accommodation to entertainment, nature-based experiences, and premium leisure services. 

Phu Quoc’s international reputation continues to be reinforced by its frequent appearance in prestigious global travel rankings.
