PHU QUOC ISLAND RANKED AMONG TOP 3 MOST BEAUTIFUL ISLAND IN ASIA-PACIFIC IN 2025

According to the Department of Tourism of Kien Giang Province, at the Luxury Awards Asia Pacific 2025, Travel + Leisure unveiled its annual list of the 10 most stunning islands in the region. Phu Quoc – also known as the “Pearl Island” and the only representative of Vietnam – claimed 3rd place, following Bali (Indonesia) and Koh Samui (Thailand). Other islands on the list include Palawan (Philippines), Phuket (Thailand), and Langkawi (Malaysia).

The magazine highlighted Phu Quoc’s natural beauty, with pristine beaches such as Bai Kem and Bai Sao, renowned for their powdery white sands, tranquil waters, and crystal-clear seas.

Beyond its breathtaking landscapes, Phu Quoc has also emerged as one of Vietnam’s most captivating destinations, offering iconic entertainment ecosystems, rich cultural and historical experiences, and a diverse range of accommodations – from budget-friendly stays to world-class ultra-luxury resorts.

The Luxury Awards Asia Pacific is an annual recognition by Travel + Leisure, voted on by millions of experienced, high-profile global readers. The award focuses on rising luxury destinations in the world’s fastest-growing tourism region, evaluated against exceptionally rigorous criteria – from premium service standards and resort-entertainment ecosystems, to brand distinction and the ability to deliver highly personalized experiences.

Earlier in 2025, Forbes also spotlighted Phu Quoc in its feature on the “6 Most Luxurious Under-the-Radar Destinations of 2025.” The magazine praised Phu Quoc’s endless coastline, inviting white sands, and mesmerizingly clear waters, noting that “this island also offers one of the most spectacular sunsets in Southeast Asia.”

According to Kien Giang’s Department of Tourism, in the first eight months of 2025, Phu Quoc welcomed over 6 million visitors – achieving 82.8% of the year’s plan, including more than 1 million international tourists. Tourism revenue reached approximately VND 28,274 billion, surpassing the annual target by 20.3%.

Currently, Phu Quoc is accelerating the development of major infrastructure projects in preparation for hosting the APEC 2027 Summit, further solidifying its position as one of the region’s most dynamic and world-class destinations.
